4-star quarterback Tevin Carter tweeted out his top 2 and Memphis made the cut along with Texas A&M.
Carter, 6-foot-3 195 lbs., from Kirby High has everything you want quarterback. He can make all the throws and he can burn you with his legs. He's watched the Memphis Tigers over the years and can see himself playing for the hometown team. Who are his favorite Tigers players of all-time?
" It would probably be Anthony Miller because he was so electric or Brady White because he was a winner," Carter told TigerSportsreport.

He got to visit Memphis for their Junior Day last year before COVID closed everything down and he was highly impressed with the campus and facilities.
"It was great. Memphis showing major love."
It's that love that has kept Memphis in the running and in his final two.
"The opportunity to play in front of my longtime friends and family...I have a chance to play early if I do my part and being able to be a hometown hero. Every year I’ll be surrounded by play makers."
Carter has built a special relationship with the coaching staff as well.
"I also love coach Silverfield, Johns, and Jones."
He said his favorite Memphis game had to be when they played Penn State in the Cotton Bowl or when they played SMU this past year when ESPN GameDay was here in Memphis.
Carter will continue to work on his game in the off-season and hopes to make a final decision on a school sometime in July or August.
