AJ Beale opened talking about the overall visit sharing, “You could feel energy all around stepping on the ground. They treated me like a young king. The players’ lounge, everything, it was amazing. The game was crazy; they won by two. The fans were energetic with towels waving everywhere. It was a good environment.”
The Saturday visit was the second time Beale had seen the Tigers play in person this season, “The game, it was crazy. I knew they were going out like that. At the Arkansas State game, they were energetic. The fans were standing up. They played “901 Get Loud” on the board. When they did that, everyone would go crazy. I have never seen a school that live. On third down and fourth down, they were crazy. The Mississippi State people were quiet.
It was a close game until the middle of the third when MSU punted and then No. 4 took it to the house. When he did that, everyone went crazy.”
An opportunity for Beale to pick up a Memphis offer seems very promising, “I talked to their recruiting coordinator, Coach (Brad) Salem, Coach (Justin) Crouse, and Coach (David) Glidden. Coach Salem told me he will be recruiting me. Coach Crouse told me he liked me. One of their graduate assistants was telling he liked what he saw and if it was his choice I’d be on the roster. They were in a good mood. It was wonderful.”
On what the Memphis coaching staff is looking for from Beale before the drop an offer, “My transcripts. I took the ACT last Saturday. I will wait until the quarter is over so my test score will be updated on my transcript.”
