Kuhn, Kyser talk improvement

The Memphis offensive line is a unit that is really coming into their own lately.
When you take a look from the beginning of the season till now, you can see that the offensive line has improved dramatically.
They started the season with a new head coach, position coach, and some new players.
Offensive line coach Ryan Silverfield came from the NFL and has really made an impression on the young Tigers line.
"For me, I think Coach Silverfield has really helped me get my technique down a lot better. I have a better grasp of pass protection now. It's not just me either. We have some young guys like Dustin Woodard that has improved and learned the speed of the game," Gabe Kuhn said after bowl practice.
"Coach Silverfield came in and was way more focused on the little things. Your footwork, your hands, your balance, Coach is just very detailed and focused on the little things."
Kuhn acknowledged it took some time to get used to it but you see the results of the hard work and effort.
Drew Kyser felt the same way about the new staff and how it's helped him become a better player.
"Oh man, my technique is a lot better. Overall I'm definitely a better player," said Kyser.
Laughingly Kyser said, "I can't even watch film of myself from last year. It felt like I was terrible."
"Coach Silverfield is a good technician and he knows what he's doing. You have to trust the process and we did and here we are."
Both Kyser and Kuhn feel like next year will be the year it really all comes together and they will have a chance to be special but next year is next year, they have one more game to focus on and that's Western Kentucky.
They both want to fly back to Memphis as bowl champions.
