4* JUCO Wide Receiver Juwann Winfree visited last weekend and is rumored to be down to Memphis and Colorado. He told TigerSportsReport that he enjoyed his visit to Memphis and that visiting the Bass Pro Shop was the highlight of the trip. He just found it very interesting.
Memphis has been in a recruiting battle for 3* Defensive back Tyrez Lindsey. TSR has been informed by a source out of Minnesota that Lindsey is back to being solid for Memphis.
3* Linebacker Nehemiah Augustus is still expected to choose Memphis on signing day.
Things are still 50/50 with 4* Defensive End Andre Anthony. He was pleasantly surprised by the Memphis visit and the Tigers have a good chance to flip him.
By now everyone has read the RebelGrove article on Genard Avery. While it may hurt to lose Avery, I will remind Tiger fans that LB Tim Hart will surprise some folks with his play. Augustus (Once he announces) will help fill that void too. The Tigers do have depth at LB. Shareef White is just as good as Avery and Darian Porter/Joe Provost was getting some praise by the former staff through the later part of the year. I feel Memphis will be fine.
