We are now less than 2 weeks away from the start of the season and there still isn't a clear frontrunner in the quarterback battle.

Coach Norvell originally said he planned on having a starter named in mid-August but that has came and gone and there's no rush to name a starter.

"We're still evaluating and I like how both guys are competing. When I'm ready to name a starting quarterback, I will," Norvell said after practice.

TigerSportsReport told you we thought that this battle would go into the first game of the season and Norvell didn't oppose the idea of playing both quarterbacks against Mercer.

In the beginning of camp it was White that was out front. Moore has really come on strong as of late and it's made the decision for Norvell more difficult.

As of today, we feel White would be your game 1 starter but both quarterbacks would play.

The Tigers started to focus their attention to Mercer as well as their next opponent and conference opener at Navy.
