The Tigers face the bye week this week and there's pro's and con's to it. Pro's- it gives them a chance to work on what went wrong at UCLA, gives Ifedi another week to heal without missing a game.

Con's- Will the bye week kill the momentum and the excitement that was built by the near upset of #11UCLA? Is the bye week too much time for the players to lose focus?

Recruiting-

Starkville QB Brady Davis still plans to make the MTSU game. He has a high school game in Alabama the night before but plans on making the trip to Memphis. If, by chance, he can not make it he said he'll be at the next game.

Davis is vying hard for Memphis to offer his teammates DE Derion Ford, WR Ralph Leonard, and RB A.J. Smith.

As we reported before, Former Memphis Running back Marquis Warford still plans to redshirt this year and come back to Memphis in December. He's also planning on visiting during the MTSU game.

The Tigers will visit commit DB Kameron Prewitt game this Friday. Prewitt isn't wavering on his commitment or anything, it's just a visit to continue to build that coach/player relationship and to through him some support.

Keep an eye on 3* RB Jocquez Bruce, Bruce is a Tennessee commitment but the Vols are loading up on talent and they could push him aside. If that does happen, the Tigers would be right there to pick him up.

2* Safety Alonzo Craighton said he plans to visit Memphis in October. He doesn't have any favorites and plans to start cutting his list down soon.

3* WR Johnathon Johnson will be visiting Mizzou in October. Mizzou already have 3 commitments from WR's. Memphis could slide in and steal Johnson. Memphis isn't a frontrunner but they are a dark horse.
