University of Memphis offensive linemanJacob Likes was named to the Rimington Trophy Preseason Watchlist on Friday. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.
In 2021, Likes started all 11 games in which he appeared for the Tigers, allowing just two sacks and three quarterback hurries in 451 pass protection snaps. He helped Memphis rank 16th in the nation in passing offense (298.8) and 38th in total offense (434.9). For his career, Likes has appeared in 19 games and is a three-time AAC All-Academic Team honoree.
