Tigers Tonight Returns August 20th

We're back and better than ever this season. Bryan, Larry and I will have our weekly show every Tuesday. We'll have a livestream and recorded versions each week.

The show will be a little bit different this year- we're going to focus more on analytics and be more in-depth- think of it as more of a serious fan podcast.

Fewer rants from me will certainly be a welcome addition. lol

Football 2024 American Athletic Conference Media Days

The American Athletic Conference has announced that its 2024 Football Media Days will be held Monday and Tuesday, July 22-23 at the Loews Arlington Hotel in Arlington, Texas.

The in-person event will launch a new era in American Athletic Conference football as Army West Point plays in the conference for the first time.

The American has had its champion play in a College Football Playoff semifinal or New Year’s Six bowl seven times in the last 10 seasons heading into the first year of the new 12-team CFP format.

The conference will continue to provide unparalleled access to head coaches, student-athletes and Commissioner Tim Pernetti. A detailed schedule and list of attendees will be announced at a later date.

Tigers Announce Themes for 2024 Home Football Games

Aug. 31 vs. North Alabama (6 p.m.) – 901 Game

A salute to everything Memphis. A celebration of the culture of what makes up the 901!



Sept. 7 vs. Troy (11 a.m.) – 1993 Team Reunion

Honoring the 1993 Tiger football team that defeated No. 23 Mississippi State and Ole Miss with a roster that included Pro Football Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce.



Sept. 28 vs. Middle Tennessee – Kids Day

Festivities at Tiger Lane and inside Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, including inflatables and giveaways.



Oct. 19 vs. North Texas – Wrestling Day


Wrestling Day is back for the third-straight year, including wrestling matches on Tiger Lane prior to the game against the Mean Green.



Oct. 26 vs. Charlotte – Homecoming

Inviting all Tigers back to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the annual Homecoming Game as the team faces off against the 49ers.



Nov. 8 vs. Rice (8 p.m.) – Military Appreciation & Blackout

Saluting our military in primetime on national television and encouraging fans to wear black for the game.



Nov. 16 vs. UAB – Senior Day & “Battle for the Bones”

Honoring our class of seniors, including quarterback Seth Henigan, as the Tigers aim to retain the “Battle for the Bones” trophy against the Blazers.

Kickoff Times Announced for Seven Memphis Football Games

Seven kickoff times were announced for the upcoming 2024 University of Memphis football season by the American Athletic Conference (AAC) on Thursday.



The Tigers will begin the 2024 campaign against North Alabama at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will kick at 6 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN+.



Other games announced include the Tigers games against Troy on Sept. 7 (11 a.m., ESPNU), at Florida State on Sept. 14 (11 a.m., ESPN), at Navy on Sept. 21 (2:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network), at South Florida on Oct. 11 (6 p.m., ESPN), against Rice on Nov. 8 (8 p.m., ESPN2) and at Tulane set for Nov. 28 (6:30 p.m., ESPN).



Additional information on game times will be announced in the coming weeks and months.



The Tigers are coming off posting just the fourth season with 10 or more wins in program history in 2023. In 2024, Memphis returns All-AAC honorees in quarterback Seth Henigan, wide receiver Roc Taylor and offensive lineman Xavier Hill to go along with a highly-rated recruiting class.
