, The American announced the following appointments to existing conference committees, effective June 3:



· Bill Hardgrave, president of the University of Memphis, and Dr. Taylor Eighmy, president of the University of Texas at San Antonio, have been appointed to the Board of Directors Executive Committee through 2026.

Seven kickoff times were announced for the upcoming 2024 University of Memphis football season by the American Athletic Conference (AAC) on Thursday.



The Tigers will begin the 2024 campaign against North Alabama at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will kick at 6 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN+.



Other games announced include the Tigers games against Troy on Sept. 7 (11 a.m., ESPNU), at Florida State on Sept. 14 (11 a.m., ESPN), at Navy on Sept. 21 (2:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network), at South Florida on Oct. 11 (6 p.m., ESPN), against Rice on Nov. 8 (8 p.m., ESPN2) and at Tulane set for Nov. 28 (6:30 p.m., ESPN).



Additional information on game times will be announced in the coming weeks and months.



The Tigers are coming off posting just the fourth season with 10 or more wins in program history in 2023. In 2024, Memphis returns All-AAC honorees in quarterback Seth Henigan, wide receiver Roc Taylor and offensive lineman Xavier Hill to go along with a highly-rated recruiting class.
