Earlier today, Memphis head coach Mike Norvell and Western Kentucky University interim head coach Nick Holt sat down with Boca Raton Bowl Executive Director Doug Mosley to discuss the upcoming bowl game.
"We're so very grateful for the opportunity to come down and be a part of such a wonderful bowl," Coach Norvell said.
This bowl game is one of the most anticipated bowl games of the season due to the fact that both offenses know how to score.
WKU is 2nd in the nation in offensive scoring averaging 45.1 points per game. Memphis is 17th averaging 39.5 per game.
Both coaches talked about the explosiveness of each teams offense.
Coach Norvell is 8-3 in his first year as the Tigers head coach but he isn't finished with all the goals he set out for when he took over the job.
"In the beginning of the season we talked about what we wanted to accomplish and that was to be bowl champions. You want to see that football team leave a legacy by hoisting a trophy."
Norvell knows it won't be easy. WKU has an explosive offense and they are conference champs from the Conference USA.
