Tigers Ranked 24th in Final AP Poll
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After an 11-2 season that saw Memphis secure its fifth-straight bowl title with a win over West Virginia in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl, the Tigers received 154 points to check in at No. 24 in the final AP Poll of the season.
It marks the first time since the 2019 season that the Tigers were ranked in the AP Poll Top 25 at season’s end.
No. 24 Memphis finished its season on a four-game win streak, including a Thanksgiving night win over then No. 17 Tulane and the win over Big 12 opponent West Virginia in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl.
Overall, the Tigers spent 10 weeks ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll during the 2024 season.
With its 11 wins, Memphis posted the first back-to-back double digit win seasons in program history and is 21-5 overall over the past two seasons. The 11-win season also marked just the second season in program history with 11 or more victories.
