Quarterback-

Is quarterback really a position battle? Yes. Not for the starting job, Paxton Lynch has that locked up, but the battle will be who'll be #2? Jason Stewart was the backup last season but Redshirt Freshmen Clay Holgorsen impressed the staff last year and has progressed nicely. Both will get the opportunity to win the job. Our prediction is that Holgorsen will win the backup job.

Running back-

Sam Craft enters the camp as the starter. Jarvis Cooper is listed as the #2. Robert Davis and Tearris Wallace will get some looks too but we feel it'll be the Craft and Cooper show until the Henderson's get here in the Fall. I'd expect Doroland Dorceus to be back by the fall as well.

Wide Receiver-

The three starters on the depth chart will be Tevin Jones, Mozse Frazier and Roderick Proctor. They will be pushed hard by Phil Mayhue, Drew Bishop, and Anthony Miller. The receiver that could steal the show is Jae'Lon Oglesby. Oglesby is highly talented and his quickness is undeniable.

Tight End-

Alan Cross has been stellar for the Tigers. He's the frontrunner. Daniel Montiel has been the back up and is pressing for time. Look out RS- Sophomore for Robby Young. He's coming on strong and just might have the best hands out of the TE's.

Offensive Line-

The O-Line is a lot stronger and deeper than in year's past. Here's what the start of spring camp looks like for the starters-

LT- Taylor Fallin. Keep an eye on Christopher Roberson and Jace Neville.

LG- Tyler Uselton has cemented himself as a starter. Look for Trevon Tate to earn the backup here.

C- Gabe Kuhn and Micah Simmons will battle it out for the starting job. This battle could go into the fall.

RG- Zach Collins and Michael Stannard will battle it out for the starting job. As with the Center spot, this one too may go into the fall.

RT- Louisville Transfer Ryan Mack is the obvious starter but Tony Mays ans Alexander Karr will both do what they can to earn the starting spot.

Memphis hasn't been this good and this deep in quite some time. Injuries happen all the time and to every school. If there's an injury to a starter on this team, there isn't much of a drop off if any. Even at quarterback. Clay Holgorsen may not have the game time experience but he's been a great student of the game.

Memphis should have one of the top offensives in the American Conference this year.
