We all know that Coach Silverfield is on the hot seat. That’s not breaking news.

I’ve asked around and tonight was the first time I’ve heard that this UCF game is a must win game. One source said that if Memphis losses that Silverfield is gone (possibly privately fired and allowed to coach the rest of the season) and a search will begin.

I’ve heard this from multiple sources now so I feel confident on putting it on the board. I’ll keep asking around for more details.

Memphis is having a invite only Jr Day tomorrow. I don't have any names yet. Waiting to see which kids tweet about it

The Memphis wide receiver position needs some serious development like ASAP! Am I the only person who sees that this position has not been addressed significantly in the transfer portal or in high school recruiting? Last year we were slow at the position. I hope and pray that I'm wrong with this statement, but I don't see any upgrades coming. Below, are the recruited receivers for 2021 to present. They should be in position to be making an impact this upcoming season. Is this problem coaching, development, talent, or all three? With Ivory and Prieskorn transfers, will this open the door for some others to step up (ie Roc Taylor and Kobe Drake)? Also, with the receiver room's talent "looking" thin on paper, are there any discussions about someone switching positions to improve the talent there? For example, Julian Barnett (6'2" 190, 4*) or Errington McRae (6'1" 235, 3*).

John and Larry are moving to Bluff City Media. The BCM guys are great and we have a great relationship with them. John will be the lead football writer for them and Larry will provide digital content for them as well. The Tiger tonight podcast will be rebranded and hosted on the BCM YouTube channel.
